Sileby Town would like to give a massive thank you to both Costcutter Sileby and all of their customers for their generosity during the Christmas bag packing. The customers kindly donated £1,200 over the two days of packing on 23 and 24 December - eclipsing the £1,000 donated during 2010 and £800 in 2009.Club spokesman Richard James was the first to offer his gratitude to Mark Swatland, owner of Costcutter Sileby: "On behalf of the Club, I'd like to thank Mark for yet again giving the club this massive opportunity to earn some much needed winter revenue. I'd also like to thank Costcutter's wonderfully generous customers for their donations." There was also a good turnout from the club membership, with Richard commenting: "We normally have a low turnout and we rely on Ian Parker and Chris Preston taking on more than one two hour shift. However, this year we had people travelling from all over the surrounding area to help out. Their effort was greatly appreciated and I hope that they, and others, lend a hand again next year." Costcutter Sileby is located on Barrow Road and is Sileby Town's primary shirt sponsor |
