Nationality: South African Senior Sileby Town Debut: v Newage in 2004 Batting Style: Right Handed Bowling Style: Right Arm Medium Other: Wicketkeeper Senior PB With The Bat: 160 not out v Stamford for the Sunday First XI in 2004 Senior PB With The Ball: 1-17 v Masterfoods for the Sunday First XI in 2004 Summary: Tony is the fourth of Sileby's South African connection, following Mike Emslie, Henri Coetzee and Johan Kotze. Tony arrived as part of a package deal with compatriot Johan at the beginning of the 2004 season and it took him some time to get used to the English wickets - especially that of his home ground at Rothley, where he played all of his Saturday cricket due to the Everards League restriction on overseas players. Tony played his cricket for Sileby in the Grantham League, Talent Cricket Evening League and Joe Orton Cup and he rubbed Johan's nose in it by finishing as Sileby's leading run scorer for the Sunday First XI and also registering a higher top score, with an unbeaten 160 against Stamford at Mill Lane, where the pair shared a stand of 243 in the home date towards the end of August, Johan registered 86 of that opening stand as Sileby rattled up 286 for 1 from their 40 overs. Like Johan, Tony went back to South Africa at the end of the 2004 season under something of a cloud. It's unknown where his cricketing career has taken him since then. Sileby Playing Record
