Date Of Birth: 22 August 1979 Senior Sileby Town Debut: v Lutterworth First XI in 2007 Nicknames: Dong, Donger, Coley Batting Style: Right Handed Bowling Style: Right Arm Medium Fast Senior PB With The Bat: 58 v Stoughton & Thurnby First XI for the First XI in 2007 Senior PB With The Ball: 6-16 v Sholay for the Sunday First XI in 2007 Summary: Leigh Cole, a Victoria copper, arrived at Sileby after negotiating a year off from his day job and was charged with the task of batting at the top of the order and taking the new ball in a young Sileby XI that had gained promotion back to the Premier Division in 2006. To say that he was charged with mission impossible was a massive understatement but that didn't stop the wholehearted all rounder from working his socks off for the cause, whether he was successful or not. Leigh's PB with the bat came towards the end of the season on a rainy day at Mill Lane when he took the Stoughton & Thurnby bowlers to the cleaners - and in doing so pinned Kingy's car at deep cow in the process. Despite his day job as a policeman in his native Victoria, he is very much a quiet lad but was extremely popular with the members and team mates. Leigh left Sileby at the end of the 2007 season and headed back to Oz, with Matt Ellis in tow, but will no doubt be back visiting the area again in the future. Sileby Playing Record
