Nationality: Nepalese Senior Sileby Town Debut: v Ashby Hastings First XI in 2005 Nicknames: Shak Batting Style: Right Handed Bowling Style: Slow Left Arm Senior PB With The Bat: 118 not out v Woolsthorpe for the Sunday First XI in 2005 Senior PB With The Ball: 2-6 v Barwell First XI for the First XI in 2005 Summary: Shak's arrival at Mill Lane was extremely brief but during his nine match stint he endeared himself to the Mill Lane faithful with some intelligent batting and some brilliant fielding. He must be amongst the best fielders ever to wear the maroon and gold. Shak had a sound technique and he announced himself with an unbeaten 78 against Ashby Hastings on his debut and he went on to play a key role in six Everards League games and three Grantham League games. Even his polite, mild mannered demeanour was tested to the limit in his first Grantham League outing at North Luffenham when the visitors capitulated early on to some fat bloke from the top end and a midget at the other (Kingy and Minky - for those that don't recall) as he struggled not to break in to bouts of laughter! That said, on and off the field he was an absolute gentleman. Shak is one of the shining lights in his native Nepal and he has received national honors for Nepal in numerous ICC tournaments. He even has his own page on Cricinfo! Cricinfo Profile: http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/other/content/player/25964.html Sileby Playing Record
