Nationality: Indian Senior Sileby Town Debut: v Loughborough Town First XI in 2009 Nicknames: Batting Style: Right Handed Bowling Style: Right Arm Fast Senior PB With The Bat: 19 v Ashby Hastings Thursday XI for the Thursday XI in 2009 Senior PB With The Ball: 4-26 v Market Harborough First XI for the First XI in 2009 Summary: Tamil arrived at the start of the 2009 season as a banned cricketer in his native India after his participation in the 'rebel' Indian Cricket League. The stockily built right arm paceman offers genuine pace with the ball from a measured run up and a rather agricultural approach with the bat and he fitted in brilliantly in to the young Sileby setup. Sadly though, the ICC decision to offer ICL players an amnesty of one month to return to playing domestic cricket put the spanner in to the works and saw Tamil return home to India after week five of the season in order to find himself a club, pass medicals and bed in with his new club. Fingers crossed, Tamil will be returning to Sileby in August for the run in to the end of the season to re-form the exciting opening partnership with Matt Ellis. |
