Sileby Town has, for a number of years, run a Ladies side alongside the traditional mens team. The concept was born out of a challenge match between the ladies of the Free Trade Inn and those connected with the Cricket Club...and from there, there has been no stopping them. Although interest was slow in the beginning, numbers have increased gradually over the years and that allowed the club to take the the huge, and brave, step of entering a side in the Midlands Ladies League, with the club entering at Division Three level. Sileby Town now has the envious tag of being one of very few clubs ablve to offer Leicestershire women competitive league cricket. Not content with resting on their laurels, Sileby are looking to increase their playing members from bottom end age groups right through to senior cricketers. The club has coaching sessions, specifically for the Ladies section, which take place on Wednesday evenings at our Mill Lane ground, with the sessions commencing at 6.30pm. If you are interested, whether you have previous playing experience or not, please contact the Ladies Captain
