This time it's not a birth, but a marriage as Andrew Preston has married long term girlfriend Angela Franklin.

There was good money changing hands in the church over whether best man Richard Preston would either forget the rings altogether or drop them on his way to present them at the alter, but those cruel souls would be left empty handed as he managed to perform his duties without any mishaps.

Furthermore, wedding driver for the day Richard James managed to introduce his shirt to an iron and even made it to the church early in his vintage Riley (not his Volvo, as had been widely touted in many circles prior to the event).

The happy couple and nearly a 100 wellwishers celebrated their marriage at the Holiday Inn in Leicester, with their being several casualties due to horrific dancing (Jo Tompkins & Dave King), with Nigel Kinch preparing his exit dance as early as 9.15pm, or from alcohol (Kelly Krych et al).

Andrew and Angela will be taking a short break in Rome before heading back to Blighty to begin their married life together.
