Sileby's top end juniors signed off in style as they thumped Lutterworth in the County League final in their own back yard to win Sileby's second Under 17s County League title.

Batting first, Liam Kinch's men posted an excellent 152 for 2 in their 20 overs with the bowlers definitely coming off second best.

Nobody reached 50 in the game, but Jake Gillett came closest with 44 while Luke Gale (36) and Charles Kindleysides (35) both ended the innings unbeaten as Gillett and Liam Kinch (25) were the only Sileby batsmen to fall.

Both wickets were claimed by Duric (2-21), while he followed his bowling spell up with a top score of 29 for the home side while Dan Tompkins returned the best figures for Sileby with 4-2-7-3 as the visitors dominated the match from beginning to end.

Lutterworth were never in the hunt as they crumbled to 80 for 7 from their full 20 overs, leaving Sileby victorious by 72 runs.

This marks the end of a golden era for this age group with Kinch, Gillett, Kindleysides, Sean Dudley, Tom Grainger and Ryan Liquorish now passing out of the junior system and in to full senior cricket.
