Sileby's two year reign as Golding Cup holders has officially come to an end after the clash between Ashby Carrington and Buckminster.

Ashby Carrington bat in the first innings of the Golding Cup Final at Mill LaneHowever, Sileby had a hand in the final as they hosted the match at Mill Lane, which Buckminster won by five wickets as they chased down Ashby's 173.

A good crowd saw an excellent match where Buckminster had just too much for their Division One counterparts.

Sileby Town would like to thank the Grantham and Melton League for awarding the final to Sileby and would also like to thank all of the club members that helped to stage the game, especially Sharne Wells for providing such an excellent tea.

Sileby will no doubt be looking to reclaim their title next season and make sure that Buckminster's name stays on the trophy for only one season.
