Rosie Watham recorded her first half century for Sileby Ladies as she carried her bat for 63 as they recorded their second win of their Midlands League campaign as they did the double over Byfield.

Sileby, who batted first, notched up 129 in their 40 overs with Watham sharing in stands of 49 with Pam Parker and 27 with Sarah-Jane Carpenter.

Watham's 63 came from 126 balls and included ten fours as she recorded only the second ever fifty for Sileby's Ladies.

The points looked to be heading comfortably to Mill Lane until a last wicket stand of 75 between Rexton and Lewis for the visitors brought them within touching distance of victory.

However, a straight drive from Rexton was gratefully caught by Rachel Thomas to seal the points for Sileby and bowl out Byfield for 17.

Sileby are continuing to look to increase their playing staff and are offering coaching sessions for ladies and girls on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm.
