Sileby's 2009 Leicestershire contract player, Jigar Naik, is up for an award following a successful season for Leicestershire.

Naik, who turned out for Sileby on several occasions during last season, as well as scoring his maiden First Class century for Leicestershire, has been nominated for the British Asian Cricket of the Year for 2009 by the Big Hitter cricket magazine.

The nominees, Naik aside, include several England Test and one day caps in the form of batsmen Ravi Bopara, Mark Ramprakash and Owais Shah and bowler Saj Mahmood.
